Amerie - Gotta Work [Video]

The video for "Gotta Work" was premiered yesterday. The track, taken from Amerie's third album "Because I Love It", is the second european single after hit "Take Control". "Gotta Work" is already becoming a hit in the UK after being in the top 20 of the top 100 R&B songs on iTunes in the past week. The video is brilliant, Amerie is in great shape and I'm sure the track is going to be a huge Summer hit.

Kelly Rowland - Second Single

The second single from Kelly Rowland's second album "Ms. Kelly" is "Comeback". The track, produced by Scott Storch, is to be released to radio on July 7th in the US. "Comeback" won the best song on "Ms. Kelly" on an AOL poll earlier this month. I really like this track but I think there are better tracks on "Ms. Kelly", such as "Work" and "Still In Love With My Ex". The third single is hopefully going to be a ballad - and I'm rooting for "Love". It's a really strong song and Kelly's vocals are amazing. Enjoy!

Ashanti feat. Nelly - Switch [New Single]

"Switch" is slated to be the first single from Ashanti's fourth album "The Declaration". Ashanti and Nelly make a good team and this track is on parr, but for Ashanti's comeback single - it's not brilliant. The album, originally entitled "Incredible", is set to be released later on in the year.

Spice Girls Reunion: Confirmed

It's official. The Spice Girls are reuniting for a world tour and a greatest hits album. Victoria Beckham, Melanie Brown, Emma Bunton, Melanie Chisholm and Geri Halliwell are to return at the end of the year for a celebration of their success. It hasn't been confirmed that there will be new materiel on the album but I know album sales would rocket if the world is treated to new materiel from the biggest girl group of all time.

During 4 years at the top - the Spice Girls sold 55 million records worldwide and were the biggest worldwide phenomen since the Beatles. 7 years since parting ways and pursuing solo careers - the girls are set to embark on a farewell world tour visiting North America, South America, Asia, Africa and Europe.

At the press conference today the girls were questioned by a photographer about the reunion, comparing to boyband Take That. Melanie C replied saying that they couldn't be compared because the Spice Girls "are global". Get In!

Tour Dates:
  • Los Angeles - December 7
  • Las Vegas - December 8
  • New York - December 11
  • London - December 15
  • Koln - December 20
  • Madrid - December 23
  • Beijing - January 10
  • Hong Kong - January 12
  • Sydney - January 17
  • Cape Town - January 20
  • Buenos Aires - January 24
I'm so pleased they are jetting around the globe to visit all their fans which made them so successful. I'm convinced more tour dates will be added, especially in the UK.
I CAN'T WAIT!

Hot Pick: Keri Hilson

Keri Hilson is slowly but surely making a name for herself in the music world. Having wrote hit singles for Britney Spears, Toni Braxton, Ciara and Kelly Rowland to name but a few, Keri Hilson is finally getting ready to release her debut album. Keri has collaborated with Timbaland on 3 tracks on his "Shock Value" album - including current single "The Way I Are".

"In A Perfect World" is expected to drop later in the year and it's definately a CD to watch out for. Confirmed producers include Timbaland, Danja (Nelly Furtado, Justin Timberlake) and Pollow Da Don (Kelly Rowland, Fergie).

"Happy Juice", a mid-tempo R&B song which features Snoop Dogg and Stat Quo, will feature on the set.

Ciara & Eve Video News

New stills from Ciara and Eve's new videos have surfaced on the net this week.

Firstly, Ciara's latest song "Can't Leave 'Em Alone" - which features 50 Cent - is set to have a firey video. Ci-Ci looks on form and I can't wait for this to be premiere. "That's Right" - which features Lil' Jean - is also set to be releaed as a single from Ciara's latest album "The Evolution". This is great news, "That's Right" is the best song on the album and would be a great song to launch Ciara back into the top 10 in both the US and the UK.

Next Up, the video for Eve's next single has been shot. Featuring Sean Paul, the song is titled "Give It To You" and will be the second single from Eve's fourth album "Here I Am" - released August 7th. Definately looking forward to hearing this one.

Beyoncé & Kelly Live at BET Awards

Here's a fantastic performance of Destiny's Child bandmates Beyoncé Knowles and Kelly Rowland peforming at the BET Awards. Beyoncé performed new hit "Get Me Bodied" and wowed the audience with her amazing dancemoves, but for me the star of the night was Kelly Rowland. Her performance of "Like This" - which featured guest rapper Eve at the show - was jaw-dropping. Kelly and Eve's performance blew Beyoncé out of the water - but that doesn't mean that B wasn't on form.

Melanie Brown Baby Drama Over.

Eddie Murphy, comedic actor, has been confirmed as the father of Mel B's second child, Angel Iris.
Melanie Brown, aka Scary Spice from the Spice Girls, has said from the beginning of the pregnancy that Murphy is the father. Up until now, Murphy has denied this - but the facts speak the truth.

With all the rumours of the Spice Girls reuniting, I would love the see Melanie release a third album. I love both her albums ("Hot" and "L.A. State Of Mind). And while she hasn't had the success she deserves, I can still see her making it big as a solo artist again.

Here is the video for Melanie's last single "Today". I Love It.

Keyshia Cole News

Keyshia Cole has just finished recording her sophomore album "Just Like You".

It's the follow up to debut album "The Way It Is", which has sold over 1.5 million copies in the US alone. Lead single from the "Just Like You" project is "Let It Go" which features hip-hop legends Missy Elliot and Lil' Kim. The video has been shot and "Let It Go" is climbing the charts as we speak. I'm hoping this is the song which will finally launch Keyshia into the UK Charts after making a name for herself for the last year or two.

The album is set to be an album which relives the 90's magic of R&B heavyweights such as Notorious B.I.G and the aforementioned Lil' Kim. "Let It Go" is a slow jam which was initially intended to be a track on Fantasia's second album. However, Missy Elliot played the track to Keyshia and the rest is history.

Stephanie McIntosh in the UK.

Australian singer and actress Stephanie McIntosh is here in the UK promoting her debut single and album. After starring in Aussie soap Neighbours for over 4 years, McIntosh is launching her music career in the UK almost a year after she released her debut single "Mistake" in her homeland. After performances on This Morning and other daytime shows, "Mistake" is released this week. 4 weeks after the release of the single, Steph is releasing second single "So Do I Say Sorry First?" a week before debut album "Tightrope" is released on August 6th.
I'm not sure how she will fair in the charts with two singles being released so close to eachother, but the album is brilliant and definately worth checking out.

Olivia feat. Missy Elliot - Cherry Pie [New Single]

Supposedly taken from the long-awaited new album from Ex-G-Unit(er) Olivia, "Cherry Pie" is a good slice of cool old-school R&B. It featueres Missy Elliot and the two girls make a good double team. First Single? Unknown as yet. But I'm sure Olivia could so alot better!

Rihanna - Shut Up and Drive [Video]

The new video for "Shut Up And Drive " by Rihanna premiered yesterday on Yahoo Music.
"Shut Up And Drive" is the second single from "Good Girl Gone Bad" and is a solid pop track. It's a departure from Rihanna's R&B side, and it pays off. The track, and the video, are brilliant.

Mandy Moore - Wild Hope

Mandy Moore's 5th Studio Album "Wild Hope" has just hit the shelves.
I'm not sure how this song is going to fair in the charts but I am enjoying this album. It's a bit samey in some parts, but it's a brilliant step forward for Mandy.

Lead single "Extraordinary" barely made an impact on the charts, but perhaps name recognition will pull this through. Tracks like "All Good Things" and "Slummin' In Paradise" are especially good listens.
