Danity Kane to release new album?

Check out this report which gives details about a new Danity Kane rumour. The group may have officially split up, but it's now been reported that they will re-form and release their third album.

Despite break-up announcement, words have just emerged suggesting will enter recording booth for their next installment. Official website of VISA MYSLASH, a company which reportedly has a sponsorship deal with the popular girl group, posts an info that the group are in studio for a new album tentatively titled "From the Ashes".

previously had released four members of Danity Kane except Dawn Richard from a contract with Bad Boy Records. He made the announcement during "Making the Band 4: The Final Chapter" part 1 on April 16 with only Dawn and Aundrea Fimbres present.

No statement has been made by P. Diddy as well as Danity Kane's camp concerning the new album rumor. However, fans may get a clue whether or not the rumor is true during the "Making the Band 4: The Final Chapter" part 2, which reportedly will be attended by all the band's members including Aubrey O'Day, on April 23.

The future of Danity Kane revealed...

Watch the video below to see how the final two members of Danity Kane were told about the future of the group and their careers...

What did you think of the video? It made me very tearful, DK are one of my all-time favourite Girl groups.

However, on the next week's Making The Band live show - all 5 girls will be reunited to chat about Danity Kane. It's doubtful they will reform, but let's hope we hear some good news from a few of the girls.

Shannon rumoured to have left Danity Kane!

After weeks of turmoil in the Danity Kane camp - it's now been rumoured that Shannon Bex has also left the group. Two weeks ago on the Making the Band final, Diddy kicked out Aubrey O'Day and D. Woods. They are officially out - leaving only Shannon, Dawn Richard and Aundrea Fimbres. However - it's now highly rumoured that Shannon has left the group claiming Danity Kane is not the same without Aubrey and D.Woods!

On a personal note, I have to say it's such a shame to see one of my favourite groups going through all this! I loved these girls as a 5 piece and I cannot cope with the thought of only possibly 2 members left! Especially Aundrea + Dawn who aren't my favourites at all! =(

Danity Kane - Video Update!

Danity Kane have just finished filming the official video for their latest single "Bad Girl". The track, which features Missy Elliot, is the second single taken from the girls' second album "Welcome To The Dollhouse". MTV were at the shoot of the new video, and here's what they reported about the video:
“It’s on fire,” Aubrey O’Day told MTV News on the Los Angeles set of the “Bad Girl” video, which is being directed by Erik White (Mary J. Blige, Chris Brown). “Five-inch heels, massive choreography — Gil Duldulao is our choreographer, and he’s [worked with] Janet Jackson. He’s fab.”
O’Day’s scene takes place in a dimly lit police interrogation room. She’s sitting across from a rugged detective, requisite lamp shining in her face. Soon, her alter ego emerges. Wearing a skintight leather catsuit, O’Day grabs the detective by his shirt and throws him on the table. Then she straddles him and cuffs his hands to the table, allowing for her escape.
The finished product will likely be a stylized mix between “The Matrix” and “Speed Racer,” ending with all of the DK girls kicking butt in a massive fight scene that closes the clip.

The video is confirmed to be released sometime this month.
Looking forward to seeing the video?

Pop group Danity Kane performed their smash hit single "Damaged" on Nashville Star, a country show in the US. Although the song is strictly un-country, the performance went down well with the audience!

Danity Kane's sophomore album "Welcome To The Dollhouse" was certified Gold in the U.S. in the less than a month it has been reported. Also in other DK news, the girls are getting ready to record their new video for upcoming single "Bad Girl". Melina, a music video director, posted this on a website -
“Following the success of “Damaged” from the No. 1 smash-hit album “Welcome to the Dollhouse”, Diddy’s dark angels Danity Kane will film the video for their second single “Bad Girl” next month in Los Angeles. In the video Aubrey, Aundrey, D. Woods, Dawn, and Shannon will take of the Divas of WWE wrestling; Kelly, Layla, Maria, Melina, and Mickie. Which ‘bad girls’ will win the fight? The video will be directed by Melina (Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, Ne-Yo - not to be confused with the WWE’s Melina) and debut this summer!”

Danity Kane - Welcome To The Dollhouse [Cover]

Danity Kane are well and truly back and they've released the new cover for their upcoming album "Welcome To The Dollhouse". I love the new look and all the girls look so hot. WTTD will be the girls' second album after #1 Platinum debut album "Danity Kane" and will feature the first single "Damaged". This album is my most anticipated 2008 release along with Janet and Mariah's new offerings. Can't wait to see what the girl's bring out this time!

Hot Pick: Danity Kane

This time last year, Aubrey, D. Woods, Aundrea, Shannon and Dawn had just won Sean "Diddy" Coombes TV show "Making The Band 3". They formed R&B/Hip-Hop bad Danity Kane and in 2006 had a top ten single "Show Stopper" and a number one album, which has since gone platinum. Second single "Ride For You" didn't reach the top half of the Billboard Hot 100 and Diddy reportedley lost interest in Danity Kane. Springtime, and the girls claimed they were working on their second album to be released before the end of 2007. However this month there have been reports that 2 members had left the bad to pursue other projects. However this week, the rumors of a split have been crushed by D. Woods who claimed they girls are still together and working hard on a follow-up to their #1 debut album. I hope this is true as Danity Kane are one of my favourite bands and their debut album was amazing. D. Woods said "no comment" when asked any questions about the lack of support from Diddy fuelling rumours that he has lost interest in the band. Whether or not Danity Kane have the support of Diddy, they still have a lot of support from their fans and music moguls alike.

Below is a link for a zip-file of their debut album, "Danity Kane". The album features singles "Show Stopper" and "Ride For You" plus other amazing R&B/Hip-Hop tracks such as "Hold Me Down", "One Shot", "Want It" and "Press Pause". "Danity Kane" is a remarkable album and I hope to get a follow-up very soon!
