Here's Mya's new video for "Show Me Something". She's looking great and I'm loving the more hip-hop sound she's trying, the track is taken from her forthcoming U.S. mixtape for the streets.

Here's the official music video for Mya's new single "Paradise". The new single, and forthcoming album "Sugar & Spice" will be exclusively released in Japan in December. Video is nice, Mya looks stunning IMO.

Mya update!

Things have been pretty quiet on the music front recently for Mya. Although her last effort "Liberation" went under the radar last year and her role as Roxy in Chicago on Broadway, Mya has been busy recording a brand new album. Although the album won't be a worldwide release, it's still great to get some new material - especially after her awesome "Liberation" set. The new album will be exclusively released in Japan in December and will be titled "Sugar & Spice". The first single will be "Paradise", and you can listen to the single below....

Mya to leave Record Label!

Mya spoke out to starnewsonline.com this week and said that she will defintately be leaving her lable "Motown Universal". Will she release a whole new album or keep with her album "Liberation" (see cover above) which has been planned to be released for about 2 years now? Here's what she said :-

Q: Are you planning on leaving your record label?

A: Yes. I’ll be leaving Motown Universal some time next year.

Q: Do you plan on signing with another label?

A: I don’t really want to sign to another label. If you end up funding most of your projects, why not distribute your own product and make 100 percent of your profits?

Mya - Liberation [Update!]

R&B Superstar Mya was expected to drop her new album "Liberation" this month but suddenly was taken off the release schedule! However, Rap-Up.com has confirmed that Mya release the album on October 23rd! The album has been waiting release for over a year now so hopefully October 23rd will be a date that sticks!

Mya - Ridin' [Video]

The video for Mya's new single "Ridin'" premiered today, and it's brilliant. The video, and the song, have a really cool old school vibe going on and it's a good video. Hopefully, the forthcoming album "Liberation" will not be pushed back again. I hope this track does well on the charts, it so far has peaked at #58 on the R&B charts with no promotion so that's a good sign I hope! Take a look...

OK, first Nicole Scherzinger's new video and now I stumble across this album cover, courtesy or rap-up.com. It's the official cover for Mya's fourth studio album "Liberation", to be released September 18th. And its a brilliant cover. This album is long overdue and I'm glad Mya is making progress with this record - finally!
