Danity Kane - Video Update!

Danity Kane have just finished filming the official video for their latest single "Bad Girl". The track, which features Missy Elliot, is the second single taken from the girls' second album "Welcome To The Dollhouse". MTV were at the shoot of the new video, and here's what they reported about the video:
“It’s on fire,” Aubrey O’Day told MTV News on the Los Angeles set of the “Bad Girl” video, which is being directed by Erik White (Mary J. Blige, Chris Brown). “Five-inch heels, massive choreography — Gil Duldulao is our choreographer, and he’s [worked with] Janet Jackson. He’s fab.”
O’Day’s scene takes place in a dimly lit police interrogation room. She’s sitting across from a rugged detective, requisite lamp shining in her face. Soon, her alter ego emerges. Wearing a skintight leather catsuit, O’Day grabs the detective by his shirt and throws him on the table. Then she straddles him and cuffs his hands to the table, allowing for her escape.
The finished product will likely be a stylized mix between “The Matrix” and “Speed Racer,” ending with all of the DK girls kicking butt in a massive fight scene that closes the clip.

The video is confirmed to be released sometime this month.
Looking forward to seeing the video?

Janet's tour selling well!

Janet Jackson's first tour in 7 years is selling fantastically according to the company running the show, LiveNation. In fact, it's such a sell-out that Madonna hasn't even sold as many tickets as Janet. That's great news for Janet, who's last album "Discipline" hasn't sold well at all! Have a read of this....

Madonna's ticket sales may have gotten off to a slow start, but Janet Jackson's are doing fine, claims Live Nation, their concert-tour company.

Jackson is hitting the road to promote her latest CD, "Discipline", which hasn't fared well on the charts since its February release.

But hopes are still high for Jackson's tour at Live Nation, where the chairman left last week after criticism that he was paying stars too much for the return. "She's a tour record-breaker, having grossed more than $100 million in her career".

So why is Jackson apparently selling well while only half of the seats at Madonna's L.A. show have been sold? Her tickets are cheaper than Madonna's, ranging from $46 to $126 at the Izod Center in New Jersey, for example, where Jackson performs Oct. 17. And unlike Madonna, who almost always favors her new material in shows, Jackson is willing to do the fan-favorite hits.

"We're very happy with the ticket sales," said a Live Nation spokesman. "She hasn't complained about us. Thank God."

Leona Lewis covers Blender.

Here's the new cover of Blender magazine, where British superstar is the coverstar. She looks stunning and I adore the picture, but the "Look Out Mariah" caption is ridiculous. I think Leona has a long way to go before she reaches the dizzy heights of Mariah's success - but we'll see!

Pussycat Dolls - When I Grow Up [Live @ MTV Movie Awards]

Wow! Pussycat Dolls completely stole the show at this year's MTV Movie Awards. The show, which aired last night, was a great night - and for me, the Doll's performance of "When I Grow Up" was the complete highlight. So much energy and brilliant vocals from the Girls!

Blast From The Past: Jewel

Today's Blast From The Past is Jewel, who's latest album "Perfectly Clear" will be released on June 3rd. Jewel has had a successful career since the release of her first album in 1995, "Pieces Of You". That album remains one of the best selling albums in the U.S., going 14 times platinum. I'm a big fan of Jewel and also of her video's. Above is the video for "Break Me", Jewel's single from 2001 and from the "This Way" album. Take a look -- and enjoy ;)

Madonna - Give It 2 Me [Sneak Peak]

by

Here's a clip from Madonna's latest video for new single "Give It 2 Me". The track is the second single from Madonna's new album "Hard Candy" and the video looks set to be a good one. It reminds me of the Hung Up video so far, and Madonna is looking fantastic. Can't wait to see it in full.

Keke Palmer - The Game Song [Mini Video]

Disney Star Keke Palmer is releasing her new single "The Game Song" and although it won't have a full video released, she has treated her fans with this mini video. You can watch the video above, and I really like it - would have nice if the label funded a full length video.

Keri Hilson - Energy [New Single]

Keri Hilson has been a singer/songerwriter for a while now, and she promises that 2008 will be her year. Her debut single is will be finally released this summer and is titled "Energy". It's a good midtempo track, and hopefully will be a big hit for Keri, who is preparing the release for debut album "In A Perfect World".

I Kissed A Girl

Katy Perry is a new singer from the U.S., similar to Lily Allen and Kate Nash in some ways. This is the video for her latest single "I Kissed A Girl", which is currently #40 in the U.S. It's a decent song and I like the video!
