Amelle takes break from Sugababes

Sugababe Amelle Berrabah has been forced to take a break from the group after being diagnosed with a severe bout of nervous exhaustion.

The singer, who replaced Mutya Buena in December 2005, has been struggling to cope with recent changes in the band, which saw Jade Ewen replace original member Keisha Buchanan last month.

The group have cancelled upcoming performances in Leeds and Germany to promote new single 'About A Girl' and album Sweet 7.

"Amelle has been forced to take an unexpected short break away from the pressures of work, following professional medical advice," a statement reads.

"As a result of recent events within the band, culminating in a change of lineup, the prolonged duration of stress has unfortunately taken its toll on Amelle and this has led to her suffering from a severe bout of nervous exhaustion.

"She is expected to return to work in full health by the beginning of November.

"Fellow band members, Heidi Range and Jade Ewen, are fully aware of the decision and are both totally supportive of Amelle and the decision taken."

Manager Mark Hargreaves added: "Although this news will come as a huge disappointment to Sugababes fans, we really do have to treat Amelle's welfare as a priority at times like this.

"I have spent a lot of time with her family this week and we have taken the advice of specialists whose job it is to bring Amelle back to full health.

"She has the love and support of everyone around her including family, friends, bandmates and the label and we are sure that fans will join us in wishing Amelle a speedy recovery."

Berrabah is expected to receive medical attention at an undisclosed private health clinic in Europe.

Sugababes - Denial [Video]

Here's the video for Sugababes' new single "Denial". The track is the third single to be lifted from their #1 album "Change", and the video is probably their best yet. It's classy, beautiful and the girls look amazing. This should do great in the charts, and I hope so -- it's one of my favourites on the album.
Liking 'Denial'?

Sugababes - About You Now [Live In Netherlands]

It's been a quite week in music, except for the fact that Britney's new album is out, so here is a performance that Sugababes did yesterday at the TMF Awards in the Netherlands. They performed "About You Now" and it was great.
- In other Sugababes news, "Change" is set to be the second single from their 5th album of the same name. Except the single to be released in December and the video in November.
Comments are always appreciated =)

Sugababes - Change [Album Cover]

UK Pop group Sugababes are prepping the release of their 5th studio album "Change", due out next month, and the above picture is the supposed cover. I like the cover and it kind of reminds of the "Three" era. The single "About You Now" precedes the albums release and looks set to be a huge hit.
Any Thoughts Of The Cover?

Sugababes - About You Now [Video]

The new video for Sugababe's new single "About You Now" premiered today, and it's quite good. I love the song (which was produced by Dr. Luke who has worked with Kelly Clarkson and Avril Lavigne) and it's a different sound for the trio. As for the video, the girls look beautiful and the cinematography is great but it's lacking the Sugababes magic we see in their other video's. Have a look...

Any Thoughts?
